Yesterday officially marked the day that people on holiday in Croatia, as well as the country's locals, get more choice when it comes to ferry travel across the Balkan nation.

Between June 1st and September 30th each year, the number of boat services that take people from the islands to the mainland and between the country's various ports is increased, reports the Croatian Times.

Some of the ferries will be beneficial to those on a Dalmatia vacation - for example, the Brac to Split service transports people from one of the most popular Croatia holiday islands to the mainland within 60 minutes.
