Mount Sljeme 'is perfect spot for skiing holiday in Croatia'

Thrill-seeking holidaymakers may decide to follow the advice of a website which has put forward Sljeme in Croatia as a spot for active sports.

According to Tips From The T-List, the mountain side is the ideal spot for activities such as hiking and skiing.

It also offers a number of facilities that help to make a stay in the area comfortable and enjoyable, from cafes and restaurants to luxury Croatian villas.

Mount Sljeme, which is the highest peak on Zagreb's Mount Medvednica, can be reached by foot, motor or cable car - all of which may offer people on a holiday in Croatia breathtaking views over the capital city.

The website suggests: "Once you're up there, treat yourself to a hot cup of coffee in the forest - a great escape from the city."

Earlier this month up to 1.7 metres of snow fell in some parts of Croatia, potentially making a skiing holiday in the country especially worthwhile.
