Museum festival may make Croatian holiday ideal for history fans
21 January 2010People with a passion for history and museums may wish to book a last-minute Croatian villa and head to the country for an upcoming festival.
The Night of the Museums, organised by the Croatian Museum Society, will offer visitors free entry to around 70 museums for one night only.
"Public interest for this year's Night of the Museums is extraordinary and it confirms the thesis of the importance of Croatian museums for the general cultural-touristic offer," states the Visit Split website.
Night of the Museums takes place on January 29th from 18:00 local time - giving travellers in the country several hours to enjoy some of the finest historical items Croatia has to offer.
Tourists may consider it is worth booking a Croatian villa conveniently located for the museums that they wish to visit.
Croatia recently held a similarly-structured event in which people could attend as many theatres as they wished for free for one day.
