Museums of Zagreb 'ideal entertainment on Croatia holiday'
03 March 2011People on holiday in Croatia in 2011 may be wise to take the advice of one travel writer and visit a pair of museums in Zagreb.
Alistair Fraser, writing a review of the city for the Daily Telegraph, nominated two exhibition centres as his personal favourites.
Firstly, he noted the Museum of Zagreb is well worth a visit, as it tells the story of the destination from the Iron Age through to the modern day.
The attraction is located within the "narrow streets and magnificent buildings" of the capital.
Mr Fraser also named the Museum of Broken Relationships as another highlight of the city, with its collection of items related to love affairs that went wrong described as "zany".
Andrew Eames, author of an article for the Independent, recently said Zagreb is well linked to other major cities and a trip there can now be combined with a visit to either Opatija or Zadar.
