Music festivals 'still a great reason to travel to Croatia'

One expert believes the economic downturn will not have an impact on attendances at leading music festivals, such as those enjoyed by people who travel to Croatia each summer.

Dan Fahey, editor of Virtual Festivals, says there are factors that could result in a decline in interest, but so far there has been no evidence of this.

Indeed, he suggests "festivals are still even more popular than ever", citing the faster-than-usual ticket sales of Glastonbury as justification.

But for what some may consider a more cost-effective trip, travelling to Croatia for one of its leading outdoor events could be a wise move.

The country is home to a number of renowned musical functions, such as the Garden Festival and the Soundwave Festival.

Tourists could also take advantage of easyJet's new flights to the capital, Zagreb, in order to experience the T-Mobile INmusic Festival, which is scheduled to take place on June 21st and 22nd.
