New air route between Croatia and Egypt

People from the Egyptian Red Sea resort of Hurghada will now have more opportunities to holiday in Croatia.

Starting yesterday (Monday June 15th), Lotus Air will run a regular service between the north African destination and Osijek.

Available once a week, the airline will provide passengers with an A320 carrier holding 177 seats, the Croatian Times reports, citing the Glas Slavinije.

Various new flights to Croatia have been announced over the last few months as the summer season has drawn closer.

In addition to the new link-up with Africa, extra routes from the UK courtesy of easyJet started recently, while Iberia Airlines has started running a service between Madrid and Zagreb.

People who take a vacation in Croatia come from all across Europe and the surrounding continents, with Austrians and Slovenians recently identified as regular holidaymakers in the country by the Austrian Times and Slovenian statistics office respectively.
