New bus link 'to ease travel in Croatia'

Tourists who love to plan holidays – such as those in Croatia – to include multiple destinations may be delighted by the arrival of a new bus station.

According to 24 Sata, cited by the Croatian Times, the town of Osijek has finally welcomed its own transport hub.

After almost half a century of being based at a temporary stand, bus services to and from the town will now stop at the new station.

Drago Tadic, of construction firm Osijek-Koteks, told the news source that the facility is the most beautiful of its kind east of Vienna and west of Istanbul.

Built at a cost of 120 million kunas (£14.3 million), the bus station could make it easier and more pleasant for tourists to travel in Croatia, between spots such as Osijeka, Split, Dubrovnik and Zadar.

A piece by TNT Magazine recently nominated Split and Dubrovnik as the two major highlights of holidays in Croatia.
