New flights to Croatia could offer chance to explore Serbia
21 June 2011A new route adopted by one airline will make it easier for those on holidays in Croatia to explore more of the region.
Croatia Airlines has revealed it has inaugurated a service between Dubrovnik and Belgrade in Serbia, reported Jutarnji List in a piece cited by the Croatian Times.
This follows the decision of JAT Airways to run a timetable linking the cities, meaning tourists have plenty of choice when it comes to taking in both the southern Croatian resort and the Serbian capital.
Croatia Airlines' flights will take off from Dubrovnik on Mondays and offer a return journey on Fridays.
The first run of this service left Croatia yesterday (June 20th) and was welcomed to Belgrade in a special ceremony attended by Croatia's ambassador to Serbia Zelijko Kupresak, the news source noted.
Chicago Rockford Airport recently confirmed the first direct flights to Croatia from the US are now in operation.
