New golf course could tempt people to travel to Croatia

A planned golf course on the Dalmatian coast could lure a huge number of holidaymakers to Croatia, should it be constructed.

Hills and Forrest are hoping to build 18 holes just north of Dubrovnik in a project dubbed the Croatian Dream.

People who travel to Croatia with their clubs and enjoy a round or two of the exciting new course will find their fun does not end there.

That is because a number of other developments are also earmarked for the site, including hotels, a casino, a film centre, exhibition space and marinas.

Perhaps the best news of all is the project is based just a few miles from the heart of Dubrovnik, so visiting will provide an opportunity to take in the city.

The beauty and romance of holidays in Dubrovnik was arguably summed up recently by Italian newspaper Corriere della Serra, which said the spot was the perfect destination for Valentine's Day and is "the new St Tropez".
