New residential complex for Zagreb

A major residential development project has been scheduled for construction in Zagreb, it has been revealed.

According to BalticBusinessNews.com, the Croatian news outlet Business.hr reported that the man behind the 70 million euros project was Ante Gucic, the son of a famous regional tycoon.

Located on the crossing between the streets Heinzlova and Slavonska avenija, the sizeable development will be spread across 34,000 sqm of land owned by the company Rudar.

While the complex will effectively meet some of the demand for residential housing in the Croatian capital, it has also been reported that it will provide some office space for local businesses.

Zagreb has become the administrative and commercial centre of Croatia since the country gained its independence, but it also provides a large amount of cultural and historical interest for its visitors.

Among the city's attractions are the Croatian National Theatre, the Mimara Museum and Ban Jelacic Square.
