New shopping complex 'is ideally located for people on a Croatian holiday'
21 January 2010Holidaymakers searching for a picturesque location with plenty of opportunities to enjoy some retail therapy could consider northern Croatia for their next trip abroad, where a new shopping complex has just opened.
Lumini Shopping Centre in Varazdin welcomed its first customers yesterday (January 20th) following a 45 million (£39.1 million) construction project, reports the Croatian Times.
It is the first modern, state-of-the-art retail venue in Croatia's northern reaches and described by the newspaper as "very important" for the region.
Located towards the south of Varazdin, it sits alongside the main roads from Zagreb, Budapest and Maribor, the publication states.
Such a convenient spot could make it ideal for tourists wishing to spend time away from the beach or hillsides for an afternoon to visit authentic Croatian outlets.
Late in 2009 Zagreb also saw the opening of a new shopping centre, after the Garden Mall was completed in the capital.
