Papaya club 'is a hidden gem of Croatia holidays'

A nightclub has described itself as the "best kept secret" among those who take holidays in Croatia.

Papaya, located on the island of Pag, is relatively unknown to tourists, but hosts some of the country's greatest nights of entertainment.

It can be found on the party-beach of Zrce and has a capacity of 5,000 people, making it large enough to attract some of Europe's top DJs.

Indeed, between June and September this year, the likes of Calvin Harris, Paul Van Dyk and Shapeshifters will be on the decks at the venue.

Papaya is renowned among locals as the place to be when it comes to clubbing and is held in the same regard as Fabric is by party goers in London.

And the fun is not restricted to inside the club, with adrenaline-fuelled activities such as kitesurfing and bungee jumping widely available on Pag.

Pag is located off the northern part of the Croatian mainland, close to the ancient resort of Zadar.
