Photography exhibition may interest Croatian travellers at weekend
14 January 2010A collection of black and white photographs will be exhibited in Croatia this weekend - which could be of interest to anybody currently travelling in the Balkans.
The display will start at 21:00 local time on Saturday (January 16th) at the UNS Cultural Association's gallery in Rijeka, reports the Croatian Times.
Work being shown in Rijeka is the result of the Organ Vida photo festival which was held in October.
"The Organ Vida Festival's aim is to promote photo art among youth and to present various artistic projects", explains the newspaper.
Rijeka, located in Croatia's north, is a historic city which could be best explored from a base at a local Croatian villa or apartment.
A new ferry port, motorway and airport terminal have been built in Rijeka in recent months, perhaps indicating it is gearing up to join the list of elite Croatian holiday destinations, such as Split and Dubrovnik.
