Photography exhibition opens to those on holiday in Split

An exhibition of real life photography has opened in Croatia and could be visited by those on holiday in Split.

Japanese photographer Yamazaki Yunichi has compiled the collection that is now on show at the city's Marko Marulic Library, reports the Croatian Times.

It welcomed its first visitors on Tuesday evening (January 4th) and could now be open to those who book accommodation in Split over the coming days and weeks.

Some 14 images are on display in the library, each depicting life in Japan, before being donated to the Slava Raskaj children's home once the show comes to an end.

"This exhibition is a miracle as it is a miracle brought about by my friendship with Croatian photographer Vladimir Dugandzic," Mr Yunichi is quoted by the newspaper as saying.

An exhibition of photographer Ana Opalic's work was opened in Dubrovnik last week, giving those in the Dalmatian coast resort somewhere to enjoy some top-quality snaps.
