Plenty to do on Dubrovnik holiday, says newspaper
11 March 2010Tourists heading to Dubrovnik for a holiday in 2010 will not be stuck for something to do, should they take the advice of a newspaper.
According to the Telegraph, one activity travellers to Croatia may wish to consider is taking a ferry to the island of Lokrum.
Lokrum is covered in native woodlands, botanic gardens and boasts several miles of eye-catching beaches.
For the art fans, the Dubrovnik Museum of Modern Art is perhaps an ideal port of call.
Described by the newspaper as a "world-class gallery," the museum is housed in a grand 1930s villa.
The final tip is to walk around Dubrovnik's famous walls, which surround the city and offer visitors views across the red-tiled roofs in one direction and the Adriatic Sea in the other.
Dubrovnik was highlighted by the Guardian recently as one of Europe's most romantic destinations.
