Reviews suggest Dubrovnik 'is of great interest to travellers'
17 March 2010Holiday reviews on the TripAdvisor website have been debating whether a Croatia holiday in Split or Dubrovnik is best.
Opinion is split between contributors to the site, with CaliCourtney suggesting Dubrovnik has "much more of interest to travellers," while Jude C believes Split "feels very vibrant and isn't just a place dependent on tourists".
However, another contributor, tamerlano77, answers: "I say both of them! Split and Dubrovnik."
Some participants cite Dubrovnik's old town, as well as its rich culture in music, theatre and art as reasons to opt for the southern city.
It may also be worth noting that Dubrovnik offers visitors some of Croatia's most immaculate beaches on the Adriatic coast.
Other people who have travelled to Dubrovnik often find its ancient walls provide the route for an enjoyable and historic walk around the city.
Last month, The Guardian recommended the city to couples looking for a break as one of the most romantic in Europe.
