Rijeka launches night buses trial
22 April 2009The Croatian resort of Rijeka is to launch a trial of a new system of night buses, it has been reported.
From this Friday (April 24th), visitors to the Adriatic destination will be able to catch a bus back to their accommodation between midnight and 05:00 in the morning, according to Novi List.
The service will run on Friday and Saturday nights until the end of summer, offering holidaymakers no excuse not to stay out late and party in the fun-loving city.
For those looking for a quieter break away, Rijeka also offers a range of cultural attractions, such as the Sanctuary of Madonna Trsatian and the Roman Triumphal Arch.
Additionally, the city also benefits from ferry connections to a number of other Croatian destinations, including some of the Adriatic islands.
One destination holidaymakers may be tempted to visit while in Croatia is the island of Brac, which the UK's Mirror newspaper described as "stunningly beautiful".
