Road show aims to persuade Indians to holiday in Croatia
15 September 2010Tourism chiefs from the Balkans are in India in a bid to promote natives of the Asian country to book and enjoy a holiday in Croatia.
Representatives of the Croatian National Tourist Board are joined by their counterparts from Slovenia on a two-stop tour of the sub-continent, reports Travel Biz Monitor.
The first road show held by the organisations took place in Mumbai yesterday (September 14th), with the second to follow in Delhi tomorrow.
Experts from Croatia, as well as its hotels, resorts and attractions are making a presentation on what the country has to offer.
"This is the first time we are conducting a road show in the Indian market and the response we have received is very good. We are promoting Dubrovnik, Zagreb, and Dalmatia Islands," Niko Bulic, director of the board, tells the news source.
Figures released by the World Tourism Organisation (WTO) and reported by the Croatian Times earlier this year found the most visitors to Croatia come from Germany.
