Rock festival to come to Spaladium Arena in Split
17 September 2009The Spaladium Arena in Split has begun its new season of entertainment.
A number of Croatia's musicians are to play at the venue as part of the rock festival Adio Lito, including Damir Urban and Psihomodo Pop, the Croatian Times reports.
Due to be held on October 2nd, it is expected to be a big hit with audiences.
According to the newspaper the hall has not been in use in the past few months because of a contract between local government and the managers of the venue.
As well as being a music venue, it also hosts sporting events and features a covered outdoor area.
It opened earlier this year for the World Handball Championships but has seen little use since.
Split is a popular place for many holidaymakers to visit, tempted as they are by the great cultural heritage and attractions such as the Mestrovic Gallery, the Cathedral of St Domnius and Diocletian's Palace.
