Rugby star chooses Croatia travel experience
23 June 2009Another famous face has opted to spend a holiday in Croatia, according to a local newspaper.
The Edinburgh Evening News has revealed that former Saracens and Scotland international stand-off Gordon Ross spent time in the Balkan country last week.
He is currently looking for a new club after leaving the Hertfordshire-based side and used his Croatia holiday to get fit.
Explaining the extent of his hard work, he told the newspaper: "Even when holidaying in Croatia last week I was in the gym every day."
Other famous people who have spent vacations in Croatia include Gwyneth Paltrow, Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta Jones, according to the Croatian Times.
Russian businessman and Chelsea Football Club owner Roman Abrahamovich has moored his yacht there in the past, while there are sure to be a number of celebrities from the movie industry descending on the country for the various film festivals scheduled for the coming months.
