Scoring against Chelsea 'best feeling' for Modric
23 March 2009Croatian soccer star Luka Modric has described scoring the winning goal against Chelsea as "the best feeling".
The 23-year-old Tottenham Hotspur schemer was speaking in the wake of his team's defeat of their London rivals, which was in no small part down to Modric's blistering performance.
Following a pulsating opening 50 minutes, the Croatian wizard met a cross from Aaron Lennon to hand the north Londoners all three points.
Modric told the club's official website: "I was so happy after the goal - I didn't know what to do.
"It was a brilliant moment and the best feeling, scoring the winning goal against Chelsea in front of your own supporters."
The Zadar-born playmaker added that he hoped his performance at the weekend would prove wrong his doubters in the English league.
