Skiers 'to holiday in Croatia as part of record attempt'

A group of skiers will take a short holiday in Croatia in the coming days as part of a Guinness Book of Records attempt.

The Croatian Times reports a team of winter sports enthusiasts are to visit the country as they attempt to ski in 30 countries in just two weeks.

They will head to the Sljeme hill resort close to Zagreb in order to tick Croatia off their list and perhaps illustrate what the nation has to offer to those who love to hit the slopes.

In order to complete the challenge, the group will have to cross 9,000 miles of roads, pass 24 passport checkpoints and travel 75,000 feet on assorted pistes.

Tourists thinking of taking a skiing holiday in Croatia could keep an eye out for footage of the team to see what the country has to offer.

The newspaper recently reported a new wave of snow is predicted to hit Croatia this week, perhaps creating ideal conditions for winter sports enthusiasts.
