Snowboarding event 'is highlight of Rijeka Carnvival' for Croatian travellers

Tourists may need to book a Croatian villa and flights to the Balkans now if they are to attend one of the highlights of the Rijeka Carnival - the Snowboard Session.

Snowboard Session features 20 professionals racing along Rijeka's most famous promenade, Korzo.

Korzo is in the heart of the ancient city in northern Croatia, about 200 m from the Adriatic Sea.

Travellers to Rijeka can enjoy 100 cubic metres of snow, which will be delivered from Gorski Kotar.

Away from the immaculate Adriatic coastline, Croatia offers a vast range of skiing and snowboarding resorts, with an abundance of luxury Croatian villas and mountainside properties on hand to be used as a base.

But for those hoping to watch the experts rather than hit the slopes themselves, Snowboard Session could be an opportunity not to be missed.

Rijeka Carnival runs until February 17th, with the Snowboard Session taking place this Saturday (January 30th).
