Soccer star Eduardo injured following Croatia return

Croatian soccer star Eduardo da Silva has picked up another injury following his return for both national and club sides.

The 25-year-old striker returned to action for Croatia last week against Romania, before scoring a brace versus Cardiff City for Premier League side Arsenal on Monday (February 16th).

Unlike the broken leg which had him sidelined for a year, Eduardo's latest setback will only keep him out of action for two weeks.

His club manager, Arsene Wenger, told Arsenal TV Online: "He picked up a hamstring injury two minutes before I took him off. What a nightmare.

"After that long out nobody plays six months on the trot. It is impossible."

Wenger added that the news was a "blow" following Eduardo's performance against the Bluebirds on Monday.

Prior to linking up with Arsenal, the Brazilian-born attacker plied his trade with Dinamo Zagreb - by far Croatia's most popular football team.
