Spanish flair on show at Zagreb shoe fare

Shoe-lovers and shopaholics may wish to visit Zagreb next month for an internationally renowned Spanish footwear and leather goods exhibition.

This is the first time that the Spanish Steps event, which will be taking place in the capital on September 2nd and 3rd, has been hosted in Croatia.

Footwear distributors from across the region will be showing off their finest Spanish-produced footwear, according to the Croatian Times.

However, there will be much more enjoyment on offer at the two-day shoe-lover's paradise.

Among the other fun activities being planned are cocktail parties and a special exhibition - making it a must for shoe-obsessed holidaymakers on vacation in Croatia.

The newspaper explained: "The purpose of Spanish Steps is to raise public awareness of the variety and quality of Spanish footwear."

Spain is famous for its high-end shoe brands and classy couture.

Among its most noteworthy designers is Manolo Blahnik, who has set up boutiques in fashion capitals such as London, Madrid and New York, and whose classy creations can regularly be seen being modeled by celebrities.
