Split to host International Festival of New Film
14 July 2009People heading on a Croatia travel trip in September may wish investigate what the International Festival of New Film has to offer.
The event takes place in Split - a popular Dalmatia holiday area - between September 12th and 19th this year.
Venues across the city host movie-related activities during the week-long gathering in one of the most vibrant parts of Croatia.
Earlier this month, Split was recommended as a place to visit by Vesna Maric, an author involved with the Lonely Planet Croatia travel guide books.
She suggested that many people often overlook the city as a place for a holiday, but it apparently has a lot to offer.
In her opinion, Split is a "beautiful place" to visit and has "very good nightlife".
Its proximity to some of Dalmatia's most popular islands was also highlighted, while historic sights such as The Diocletian's Palace were highly praised.
