Start of Dubrovnik Summer Festival draws nearer

It is now just one month until the Dubrovnik Summer Festival gets underway in the southern Croatian city.

People staying in accommodation in Dubrovnik between July 10th and August 25th will have various activities and shows to choose from thanks to the annual event.

The summer celebration is likely to appeal to holidaymakers whether they have travelled to Croatia just for a relaxing break or to seek new cultural experiences.

Having been established in the early 1950s, the event has involved some of the biggest names in theatre and science during the years it has existed.

Ballet and dance performances also make up part of the month-and-a-half of summer festivities.

As well as the special shows and exhibitions, tourists will also be able enjoy the regular activities and sights offered by a Dubrovnik holiday.

Visitors are able to explore the old town, which includes various restaurants and sites of historical importance, as well as walk around the wall that surrounds it.

Alternatively, the beautiful beaches provide another reason to head to the city for a summer holiday.
