Tennis star to settle in Croatia
11 August 2009Croatian tennis ace Goran Ivanisevic and his family are set to settle in Croatia, his wife has revealed.
The Croatian Times reports that while speaking to German television channel RTL, Mr Ivanisevic's wife Tatjana Dragovic noted that the family will reside in Croatia to help their six-year-old daughter Amber who is set to start school.
It was previously thought that the former model wanted to live in the US as well as Croatia.
Goran Ivanisevic is one of Croatia's best loved international sports stars and a former winner of Wimbledon.
Mr Ivanisevic was born in Split in Croatia, which has become a popular area for tourists.
Split is located in Dalmatia and was featured in the BBC series Francesco's Mediterranean Voyage.
The city of Split is also home to one of Croatia's several Unesco World Heritage Sites in the shape of the Palace of Diocletian, a stunning cathedral built in the Middle Ages.
