The Charlatans confirmed for Croatian music event

The Charlatans will be performing at the Rokaj Fest in Croatia later this summer, it has been confirmed.

People who have chosen a Croatia travel experience in 2009 may want to grabs some tickets for the event, which runs from July 3rd to July 5th.

British band The Charlatans will be on stage during the final day of the festival, which is set to attract large numbers this year.

Razorlight and Primal Scream have also committed themselves to the musical extravaganza.

It was recently suggested that the Balkan and south-east European region is "the place to be" for music in 2009.

Marketing group Global Publicity said Croatia's Garden Festival and other big gatherings in Serbia ensure the area is a hotspot for music fans.

In a statement, the company said: "The region has some amazing festivals, with massive line-ups, guaranteed sunshine, cheap ticket prices, cheap drinks and you don't have to worry about being stung by the strong euro."
