Touring holiday in Croatia 'to become even easier'
04 April 2011Travellers who would like to tour Croatia while on holiday in the region may find it is to become even simpler in the near future.
Bosses at the Croatian Association of Toll Motorways Concessionaires have confirmed there will be a 23 per cent rise in investment in some of the country's major highways this year, reported the Croatian Times following a piece by Monitor.
It means the total amount that is spent on roads in the nation over the coming 12 months will hit 3.05 billion kunas (£364 million).
Much of that sum – 2.58 billion kunas – will be spent on new projects, which should improve the ability of tourists to get about.
As a result, touring the country, taking in many of its most special destinations, could be a significantly easier task.
The news source recently quoted the German newspaper Bild, which identified Lubenice and Brac in Croatia as two of the world's best 40 beaches.
