Tourists could book accommodation in Croatia for Pope's visit

People hoping to catch a glimpse of the Pope could be wise to book accommodation in Croatia ahead of his visit to the country.

Plans are continuing in anticipation of the pontiff's upcoming arrival in the capital city, Zagreb, reports the Croatian Times following a piece by Vecernji List.

Indeed, prime minister Jadranka Kosor and Zagreb's archbishop cardinal Josip Bozanic have met to discuss in detail the trip, which is sure to propel Croatia into the global eye.

The news source suggests the pair congregated to review proposals made so far and to put in place the next stages of the process.

This could relate to ensuring everybody who travels to Croatia to see the Catholic leader is afforded a good chance of viewing him.

In September last year, the figurehead visited the UK, taking in both Glasgow and London during a four-day stay he later described as "a joy".
