Tourists set to look before they book Croatia holiday
04 May 2010People planning a Croatia holiday will soon be able to check out their destination on Google, as the search engine gears up to provide its Street View service in the country.
Street View enables web users to take a look at any road or building, with the ability to zoom in and move in different directions.
According to the Croatian Times, Google has posted advertisements in the country revealing it is looking for somebody to take the pictures required.
This involves travelling between locations such as Split, Zagreb and Dubrovnik on a bicycle equipped with cameras.
Many people say the 360-degree views give people a greater look at not only their own city but others too, the newspaper states.
It could become a vital tool in planning a holiday, with tourists able to view their Croatian villa, nearest beach and local restaurants before booking.
Google Street View was rolled out across more than 90 per cent of the UK earlier this year.
