Tourists 'should consider half-term holiday in Croatia'
20 January 2010The idea of soaking up the sun on a Croatian holiday during February could be "ever more tempting" after the recent cold weather in Britain.
According to the Telegraph, people may consider the idea of "shivering in a British holiday cottage" particularly unappealing during the upcoming half-term break.
One solution is to head to the sun - with Croatia possibly at the top of the list for many would-be holidaymakers.
"If you plan carefully, you can still find flights and accommodation at a reasonable price and to destinations which can offer a reliable winter climate", the newspaper advises.
It suggests tourists are "a little careful when sizing up what is on offer", with a rash decision potentially costly, as many usually-sunny destinations are not as warm as expected during the early part of the year.
But Croatia's rich blend of history and immaculate beaches may not leave anybody disappointed should they enjoy the February break from the comfort of a Croatian villa.
