Travel to Croatia for Dance Week Festival
16 May 2011Dance fans could already have plenty of reasons to travel to Croatia's most cultural cities – and they have now been handed another.
The Croatian Times reports that the Dance Week Festival is due to kick off in the country on May 24th and will run until June 2nd.
In that time, a trio of major destinations will play host to some of the country's finest performers, who will show off their skills on the stage.
Rijeka, Split and the capital of Zagreb are all taking part in the event, giving tourists plenty of choice when it comes to selecting a holiday spot.
A movie entitled Pina – about German choreographer Pina Bausch – by acclaimed creator Wim Wenders is due to open the festival, the newspaper notes.
The publication last week revealed statistics from the Zagreb Tourist Board that showed an increase of two per cent in the number of people heading to the capital city for a break.
