Travel to Croatia for fascinating relationships museum28 March 2011
People who travel to Croatia – and, in particular, the capital city of Zagreb – can take in a unique exhibition at one of the destination's cultural houses.
The Sydney Morning Herald commented on the Museum of Broken Relationships, which features items connected to the breakdown of romantic pairings.
It includes about 700 objects such as white garter belts and a can of love incense, each with a humorous anecdote detailing their role in the collapse of a couple.
Drazen Grubisic, one of the founders of the museum, told the newspaper: "It was never meant to be a project but it started to have a life of its own."
Those who have donated items to the exhibition typically do so in order to let go of failed relationships.
In order to travel to Zagreb, Britons could book flights to Croatia with easyJet, as the budget carrier launched a route to the city from London Gatwick last month.
