Travel to Croatia for international show jumping tournament
27 May 2011Some of the world's finest show jumpers will soon be entertaining those who travel to Croatia for a holiday.
The Kutjevo Grand Prix features top jockeys and horses – which are traditionally thoroughbreds – and runs for the duration of June, according to the Croatian National Tourist Board.
Participants from around Europe and beyond regularly travel to the event, with jockeys said to come most commonly from Germany, Austria, Hungary and Slovakia.
They compete against a host of local riders in a top-quality show jumping tournament that can be enjoyed by visitors to the region.
The tourism organisation went on to suggest the flowing nature and relationship between horse and jockey make this event seem like a form of art.
It notes that entrants will try hard to impress not only the panel of judges but the audience too.
Another exciting event in Croatia is the Dubrovnik International Wine and Jazz Festival, which gets underway today (May 27th).
