Travel to Croatia 'for one of the world's top 2011 holidays'
04 January 2011People who follow the advice of one newspaper and want to enjoy one of the world's best holidays should travel to Croatia in 2011.
The Daily Telegraph, putting together a list of its top 20 destinations in which to take a break over the next 12 months, nominates the country's capital of Zagreb.
It admits breaks in Dubrovnik typically attract the most attention among those planning to book accommodation in Croatia.
However, this no longer needs to be the case, as Zagreb's "striking fin-de-siecle architecture" begins to come to the fore, the publication states.
It goes on to describe the city as a "pocket-sized Vienna" and explains the introduction of easyJet flights to and from the UK in February will be a huge boost to visitor numbers.
Other spots in Croatia that holidaymakers can fly to from Britain include Split, an historic seaside resort in the heart of the Dalmatian coast.
