Travel to Croatia for unique exhibition
15 February 2011A new museum in Zagreb could tempt intrigued tourists to travel to Croatia as it exhibits a series of unique items.
The Museum of Broken Relationships is recommended by Andrew Mueller, writing for the Guardian, who says the venue is dedicated to people who have suffered heartbreak in their love lives.
He explains: "The exhibits in the Museum of Broken Relationships are as random and varied as the reasons people get together and break up."
Among the objects on display is a suspender belt with the note 'I never put them on. The relationship might have lasted longer if I had.'
There are also items like a blue frisbee and a tin of Love Incense, each with a contribution from an owner who has an amusing story to tell.
Mr Mueller notes the museum is not full of self-pity, but neither is it a playground – however, it is most certainly worth a visit.
Travelling to Zagreb became easier last week when budget airline easyJet opened a new route to the city from London Gatwick.
