Travel to Croatia now for festival fun

People may find they still have enough time to book a holiday in Croatia and take in the experience of the annual Rujanfest event in Zagreb.

The ten-day event kicked off late last week and features a host of musical performances and plenty of local beer, reports the Croatian Times.

There will also be numerous Croatian delicacies on offer, meaning those who travel could enjoy an authentic taste of the country's cuisine.

Other highlights of the third Rujanfest include a concert by popular Croatian singer/songwriter Miroslav Skoro, an exhibition of work by Plavi Orkestar and a performance by Bajaga & Instruktori, the newspaper confirms.

As well as experiencing the fun of the festival, holidaymakers might use the trip as a chance to take a closer look at Croatia's capital, considered to be one of Europe's most historic cities.

It was recently revealed an upcoming food event in Zagreb will see restaurants offer tourists high-quality meals at bargain rates.
