Travel to Croatia to experience 'one of Europe's most beautiful countries'

Croatia is one of the most idyllic countries in Europe, with its diversity between unspoilt coastal locations, rural areas and historic cities noted by one resident.

Matthias Wahl, who lives and works in the country, tells The Lawyer magazine that Croatia is the perfect place for him.

He suggests the "beautiful" scenery of the country, which has more than 1,000 islands just off its Dalmatian cost, is one of its biggest draws.

Another positive aspect of Croatia is how close its highlights are - with Mr Wahl explaining to the publication how his Zagreb home is a mere 20 minutes from the popular Mount Sljeme.

Other tips for people planning to travel to the country in the coming months include visiting the hills, castles and vineyards that are much of an icon of the nation as the famous walls of Dubrovnik.

Jon Bousfield, writing for the Daily Telegraph, has this week advised people looking for a dream beach holiday to head to Croatia's Istrian region.
