Travel to Dubrovnik for October food festival
07 July 2009The third Croatian Festival of Jam and Marmalade could be one reason for booking Dubrovnik accommodation this autumn.
Running from October 3rd to October 4th, the event will focus on preserves - a popular breakfast choice across Europe.
People staying in a Croatian villa in the southern city during that time will be able to locate the festival outside St Blaise's Church over the course of the weekend.
And with the sea warm enough for swimming in - even at such a late stage of the year - vacationers will find there are a number of good reasons to take a Dubrovnik holiday this autumn.
Also starting at the beginning of October in Dubrovnik is a photography exhibition at the Sebastian Gallery, as well as a number of concerts to suit various musical tastes.
With Croatian Independence Day on October 8th and the festivities that accompany this date, a holiday to the Balkan nation in early October has plenty to offer.
