Travel to Dubrovnik to experience beauty of Montenegro

Travelling to Dubrovnik has been highlighted by one travel writer as an effective way to enjoy the beauty offered across the Croatian border in Montenegro.

Karen Rockett, writing for the Daily Mirror, explains she recently took time out to relax in the fellow Balkan nation, which can be found just south of Dubrovnik.

Although dedicating an entire break to staying in accommodation in Dubrovnik and experiencing the Dalmatian coast at its best is likely to be tempting, the author suggests a trip to Montenegro is well worth the bother.

She admits the journey can be a little longer than many will hope, but the "breathtaking views" on offer are special.

And Ms Rockett notes another highlight was the ferry ride across the bay of Kotor, which she notes is particularly picturesque.

Visitors to Dubrovnik will find themselves relatively close to Croatia's borders with not only Montenegro but also Bosnia and Serbia, making trips to these nations a possibility.
