Travellers advised to head to Croatia's Korcula
03 June 2009The island of Korcula, a southern Dalmatia holiday destination, has been highly commended.
In a report for the Metro World News, co-founder of travel company Black Tomato Tom Marchant said that those who choose a vacation to this part of Croatia will witness a "stunning island".
Describing the place as a "true secret", the writer revealed that those who head to Korcula will be the envy of all their friends.
"The beautiful stone castle welcoming you as you sail into the harbour is just a taste of the old world charm that the island oozes," he explained. "Get lost in the winding alleyways, between terracotta-tiled houses and tiny churches."
His comments come after Korcula was noted as one of the world's most romantic and affordable spots to get married by the Observer newspaper. It featured alongside more renowned regions such as Corsica, the Cook Islands and Vienna.
