Travellers on Croatia holidays 'to benefit from local tips'

People taking holidays in Croatia from next month will be able to get the best tips on what to do, where to eat and what to see from the country's residents.

In excess of 3,000 Croatians have been surveyed on their favourite places to dine out, where they believe the most beautiful locations to be are and which of the tourist attractions offer the most, reports the Croatian Times, following a piece by Vecernji List.

The results are to be published in a special guide that is due to be made available from March 23rd and may help tourists make the most of their time in the nation.

It will also include advice on the best shopping areas, local products and opinions on Croatia's wide range of events and festivals.

One of the most popular celebrations on offer to people on holiday in Croatia is the Dubrovnik Carnival, which is currently taking place and runs until March 6th.
