Travellers to Croatia invited to enjoy "gastro manifestation"
02 February 2011The cuisine of a country can go some way towards defining it and what people expect of a trip there – and that is no different when taking holidays in Croatia.
Tasty seafood and locally-produced wine are at the top of the list when it comes to delicious cuisine from the Balkan nation.
And now tourists have been invited to sample the various delights Croatia has to offer by taking a break in Losinj in April.
Tourism officials in the island destination have promised a "gastro manifestation" to all those who attend its culinary festival between April 10th and 18th.
Highlights could include fish and other seafood plucked directly from the beautiful crystal-clear waters of the surrounding Adriatic Sea.
And for an authentic taste of other islands off the Dalmatian coast, visitors may like to spend some of their time taking advantage of local ferry services.
Other upcoming events that might attract people to holidays in Croatia include carnivals in Dubrovnik and Samobor, both of which are due to kick off this month.
