Tyson Gay records 9.92 seconds in front of Croatia holidaymakers
02 September 2010Tyson Gay, one of the world's fastest sprinters, has performed in Zagreb in front of a crowd that may have been packed with people on holiday in Croatia.
The American completed the 100 metres in a time of 9.92 seconds, beating off the challenge of Nesta Carter who recorded 10.07 seconds.
Gay was among dozens of athletes taking part in the International Association of Athletics Federations World Challenge meeting, held in the capital yesterday (September 1st).
It could illustrate to many Croatia's emergence as a venue for top-quality events in a range of fields.
