U2 announce second Zagreb concert
31 March 2009Pop megastars U2 have announced a second date in Zagreb for their current tour.
Due to unprecedented popular demand in Croatia, the Irish rockers have revealed that they will perform in the capital's Stadium Makimir on both August 9th and 10th, Jutarnji List revealed.
In a news conference, Vladimir Ivankovic of the organisers Lupa Promotion, said that the first date saw 63,000 tickets sold in about two hours - the fastest selling concert ever seen in the region.
Passes for the August 9th appearance will go on sale from this Friday (April 3rd). Availability will be online only at first, but later in the day Croatian retailers will also begin selling tickets.
The gigs will represent only the second time the band, which are famous for hits such as With or Without You and Where The Streets Have No Name, have appeared in the Balkans.
