U2 unveil Zagreb tour date
09 March 2009Legendary rockers U2 have announced that they will play in Zagreb as part of their latest European tour.
The Irish group, who recently released their 12th studio offering, No Line on the Horizon, will stop off at the Croatian capital's Masimir Stadium on August 10th.
It will be only the second time the Dubliners have played in the Balkans, following a performance in Bosnia and Herzegovina's Sarajevo nearly 12 years ago, according to T-Portal.
Following their performance in Zagreb, Bono and the other band members will jet off to play at London's famed Wembley Stadium.
The group have enjoyed sustained success throughout their career, from collecting their first Grammy Award for their 1988 classic the Joshua Tree, to the present day.
Tickets for the show will go sale from March 27th.
U2 are not the only rock sensations to play in Croatia this year, with Glasgow's Franz Ferdinand lined up for the T-Mobile INmusic Festival on June 24th and 25th in Zagreb.
