Zagreb Card could make tourists' travel in Croatia easier

Tourists on holiday in Zagreb could, in future, find it easier to navigate Croatia's capital city after a new travel card has been launched.

The Zagreb Card will offer unlimited use of buses, trains and other transport in the city for either 24 or 72 hours, reports the Croatian Times.

It could allow holidaymakers in the medieval metropolis the opportunity to make journeys quicker and easier than they previously were able to, while opening up parts of Zagreb tourists may not have usually visited.

In addition to infinite travel, the Zagreb Card will offer visitors discounts at most of the city's museums, attractions, shops and restaurants, the newspaper states.

Holidaymakers can purchase one at any tourist information centre or authorised hotel.

Adela Markovic, writing for online tourism site Guide2Croatia, this week suggested that people should book a trip to the Croatian capital to enjoy the "air of magic" it exudes at Christmas time.
