Zagreb holidaymakers could experience comedian's first Croatian performance
10 December 2009Tourists currently on holiday in Croatia could enjoy a show tonight (December 10th) by popular British stand-up comedian Tom Craine.
Craine will be appearing at Zagreb's Soba Club in Magazinska Street - his first appearance in the Balkan country, according to the Croatian Times.
With a CV boasting of performances in dozens of British comedy clubs, his own radio show and a string of television credits, Craine could be perfect light entertainment for English speakers currently in the Croatian capital.
Described as an "award-winning stand-up comic, master of ceremonies and writer" by the newspaper, he will be cracking jokes from 20:30 local time tonight.
Listeners of BBC Radio 2, BBC Bristol and BBCiplayer may be familiar with Craine's work as he has been a regular contributor on the trio of radio platforms - as well as penning gags for BBC3 shows.
Fans of the arts could also visit a human rights film festival which kicked off at the Kino Europa in Zagreb this week.
